Border Bogie Challenge
borderbogie.co.uk/
What exactly is the Border Bogie Challenge? It's an insane, fast-paced time trial race down a hill on a typical rural country road, (which will have been closed to vehicles for the duration, obviously!) in a homemade bogie (or a go-kart for those of you who aren't lucky enough to be Scottish). The bogie itself must have a minimum of four or more wheels and no form of propulsion whatsoever - you let the hill do all the work. The complete list of rules and regulations will explain everything in full detail.

Arthurshiel Animal Rescue Centre
www.arthurshiel-rescue.org/index.html
In any year the centre will re home around 500 dogs and many other animals and birds as varied as the pets people keep. There is also an aviary where many wild birds are nursed back to health and which is a great attraction for visiting children. All of this is done without any grants or financial assistance other than by our own fund raising efforts and the generosity of the animal loving public. The Centre is recognised as a training facility and often has students from various organisations and countries who help to train the many dogs before they go to new homes.
